     Major João Maria de Orléans Bragança e Dobrzensky de Dobrzenicz, Principe de Orléans e Bragança was born on 15 October 1916 at Boulogne-Billaincourt, Hauts-de-Seine, FranceG.1 He was the son of Pedro de Alcántara d'Orléans e Bragança, Principe de Grão Pará and Marie Elisabeth Adelheid Gräfin Dobrzensky von Dobrzenicz.1 He married, firstly, Fatima Sherifa Chirine, daughter of Ismail Chirine, Bey and Aisha Mussalan, on 29 April 1949 at Sintra, PortugalG.1 He and Fatima Sherifa Chirine were divorced in 1971. He married, secondly, Tereza Leite, daughter of Jose Leite and Blanca Cesar, on 29 April 1990 at Petropolis, BrazilG, in a civil marriage. João Maria and Tereza were also married in a religious ceremony on 11 May 1990 at Rio de Janeiro, BrazilG. He died on 26 June 2005 at age 88 at Rio de Janeiro, BrazilG.2
     He gained the title of Principe João Maria de Orléans e Bragança.1 He was given the name of João Maria Felipe Miguel Gabriel Rafael Gonzaga at birth.1 He lived in 1976 at Praia do Flamengo 284, Rio de Janeiro, BrazilG.1 He was vice-president of Pan-Air do Brasil.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Brazilian Air Force.1

She died on 14 March 1990 at age 66 at Rio de Janeiro, BrazilG.
     From before 1949, her married name became Toussoun.1
