     Ella Frances Richards was the daughter of Reverend James Richards.1 She married Reverend Sydney George William Maitland, son of Lt.-Col. Frederick Henry Maitland, 13th Earl of Lauderdale and Charlotte Sarah Sleigh, on 11 April 1899.1 She died on 28 February 1949.1
     Her married name became Maitland.

     Reverend Alfred Sydney Frederick Maitland, 16th Earl of Lauderdale was born on 17 April 1904.1 He was the son of Reverend Sydney George William Maitland and Ella Frances Richards.1 He married, firstly, Norah Mary La Touche, daughter of William Henry La Touche, on 6 August 1938.1 He married, secondly, Irene Alice May Shipton, daughter of Reverend Charles Percy Shipton, on 4 June 1940.1 He died on 27 November 1968 at age 64, without issue.1

     Irene Alice May Shipton is the daughter of Reverend Charles Percy Shipton.1 She married Reverend Alfred Sydney Frederick Maitland, 16th Earl of Lauderdale, son of Reverend Sydney George William Maitland and Ella Frances Richards, on 4 June 1940.1
     Her married name became Maitland. After her marriage, Irene Alice May Shipton was styled as Countess of Lauderdale on 17 September 1953.

     Patrick Francis Maitland, 17th Earl of Lauderdale was born on 17 March 1911.1 He is the son of Reverend Sydney George William Maitland and Ella Frances Richards.1 He married Stanka Lozanic, daughter of Professor Milivoye Lozanic, on 20 July 1936.1 He died on 2 December 2008 at age 97.2
