     Diana Mary Portman was born on 10 August 1923.1 She was the daughter of Brigadier Guy Maurice Berkeley Portman and Miriam Katharine Taylor.1 She married F/O Raymond Guy Manning, son of J. J. Manning, on 4 February 1945.1 She died on 19 February 1945 at age 21 at ItalyG, killed in a flying accident with her husband.1
     She was with the Special Operations Executive and First Aid Nursing Yeomanry during the Second World War.1 Her married name became Manning.

     F/O Raymond Guy Manning was the son of J. J. Manning.1 He married Diana Mary Portman, daughter of Brigadier Guy Maurice Berkeley Portman and Miriam Katharine Taylor, on 4 February 1945.1 He died on 19 February 1945, killed in a flying accident with his wife.1
     He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force.1

     From 30 May 1981, her married name became Vernon.1 She lived in 2003 at The Hall, Lygan-y-Wern, Clwyd, Wales.2
