     Roland Ivo Lacon Childe was born on 29 September 1898. He was the son of William Shakespear Childe-Pemberton and Lady Constance Violet Lucy Bligh. He married, firstly, Emilja Anna Zavadzki on 9 August 1921. He married, secondly, Eva Genvieve Kingsley in 1929. He died in 1944.¹
