     Major William Berners was born circa 1796.2 He was the son of William Berners and Rachel Allen Jarrett.2 He married Elizabeth Jane Paget, daughter of Vice-Admiral Hon. Sir Charles Paget and Elizabeth Araminta Monck, on 25 March 1845.1 He died on 10 May 1855.2
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Horse Artillery.1

John Thomas Capel and Lady Caroline Paget.1 He married Caroline Paget, daughter of Vice-Admiral Hon. Sir Charles Paget and Elizabeth Araminta Monck, on 10 December 1832.1 He died on 21 November 1886 at age 79.2
     In May 1839 he was granted the rank of an earl's younger son.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.2
