Andrew Hay of Renfield was the son of William Hay, 4th of Talla and Janet Spottiswood.1 He married Janet Wallace.1 He died in 1593.1
He was Parson in 1560 at Renfrew, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 He was Commissary of Hamilton and Dalserf in 1564.1 On 9 March 1566 he was accused of being concerned in the murderDavid Riccio.1 In July 1566 he was confined in free ward within the burghDunbar and two miles round.1 On 29 January 1567 he was released by Queen Mary.1 He was Commissioner for Clydesdale, Renfrew and Lennox between 1569 and 1588.1 He was Dean of the Chapter of Glasgow in January 1571.1
