     Sir William George Watson, 1st Bt. was born on 26 December 1861.¹ He was the son of William Watson and Emma Wakefield.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Charlotte Watson, daughter of Thomas Holding Watson, on 31 August 1887.¹ He married, secondly, Bessie Atkinson, daughter of Thomas Atkinson, on 6 January 1894.¹ He died on 12 July 1930 at age 68.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Watson, of Sulhamstead, Sulhamstead Abbotts, Berkshire [U.K.] on 11 July 1912.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Berkshire in 1920.¹

     Mary Charlotte Watson was the daughter of Thomas Holding Watson.¹ She married Sir William George Watson, 1st Bt., son of William Watson and Emma Wakefield, on 31 August 1887.¹ She died on 25 August 1888, without issue.¹

     Thomas Holding Watson lived at Wigan, Lancashire, England.¹

     Bessie Atkinson was the daughter of Thomas Atkinson.¹ She married Sir William George Watson, 1st Bt., son of William Watson and Emma Wakefield, on 6 January 1894.¹ She died on 25 June 1942.¹

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1916 and 1918.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Watson, of Sulhamstead, Sulhamstead Abbotts, Berkshire [U.K., 1912] on 12 July 1930.¹ He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Berkshire in 1940.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1942.¹ On his death his baronetcy became extinct.²

     William Watson was born on 25 November 1828.¹ He was the son of John Watson and Mary Hinks.¹ He married Emma Wakefield, daughter of William Wakefield, on 24 September 1857.¹ He died on 13 March 1912 at age 83.¹
