     Lt.-Col. Christopher Garrett Elkington was born in 1891.1 He was the son of Hyla Garrett Elkington and Sarah Minerva Garrett.1 He died on 2 January 1970 at Mount Pleasant, West Malvern, Worcestershire, England.1
     He was commissioned with the rank of officer, in the service of the 7th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was seriously wounded.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1941.2
