     From 15 February 1945, her married name became Butterfield.1

     He gained the rank of Major in the The Duke of Wellington's Regiment.1

     Rt. Hon. Sir Ellis William-Hume-Williams, 1st Bt. was born on 19 August 1863.1 He was the son of Joseph William Hume-Williams and Agnes Charter.1 He married Lucy Annette Satow, daughter of Theodor Satow, on 6 October 1886.1 He died on 4 February 1947 at age 83.1
     He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1881 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1881 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.1 He held the office of Recorder of Bury St. Edmunds in 1881.1 He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1899.1 He was Commissioner of Edmunds between 1901 and 1905.1 He was Commissioner of Norwich between 1905 and 1944.1 He held the office of Bencher of Middle Temple in 1906.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Nottinghamshire, Brassetlaw Division between 1910 and 1929.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1918.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He was appointed KStJ.1 He was created 1st Baronet Hume-Williams [U.K.] on 28 November 1922.1 He held the office of Treasurer of Middle Temple in 1929.1 He was Commissioner of Assize, Midland Circuit between 1933 and 1934.1
