     Katherine Mary Stewart is the daughter of Charles Edward Stewart.¹ She married Vice-Admiral Thomas Norman James, son of William Edward Ashton James and Emily Annabella Wybergh, on 31 October 1918.¹
     From 31 October 1918, her married name became James.¹

     She was educated at Downe House School, Newbury, Berkshire, England.¹ She was with the Women's Royal Naval Service during the Second World War between 1941 and 1945.¹ From 29 November 1945, her married name became Stuart.¹ She was awarded the British Empire Medal (B.E.M.) in 1946.¹

     Brigadier Donald James Allan Stuart is the son of Brig.-Gen. Donald Mackenzie Stuart.¹ He married Patience Diana James, daughter of Vice-Admiral Thomas Norman James and Katherine Mary Stewart, on 29 November 1945.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Donald Mackenzie Stuart held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Corwood, Biggar, Lancashire, England.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹
