     Laurence Michael Dillon was born on 1 May 1915.1 He was the son of Robert Arthur Dillon and Laura Maud Reese.1 He died on 15 May 1962 at age 47 at Dalhousie, India, unmarried.1
     He was given the name of Laura Maud Dillon at birth.2 He was educated at Brampton Down School, Folkestone, Kent, England.2 He graduated from St. Anne's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 In 1944 his birth certificate was changed from female to male, making him eligible to inherit the Dillon baronetcy.2 In 1944 his name was legally changed to Laurence Michael Dillon.2 He wrote the book Self: A Study in Ethics and Endocrinology, published 1946.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1951 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.Ch.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1951 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1 He was naval surgeon for P&O and China Navigation Company.2 He wrote the book Imji Getsul, published 1962.2 He wrote the book The Life of Milarepa, published 1962.2 Laurence Michael Dillon used the pen-name of Lobzang Jivaka.2 He wrote the book Out of the Ordinary: A Life of Gender and Spiritual Transitions, published 2017.2
