     Sir Joseph Eyles was born circa 1690.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Eyles, 1st Bt.1 He married Sarah Jeffreys, daughter of Sir Jeffrey Jeffreys and Sarah Dawes.1 He died on 8 February 1740.1
     He was director of the Bank of England between 1717 and 1721.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devizes between 1722 and 1727.1 He was appointed Knight on 9 December 1724.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Southwark between 1727 and 1734.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devizes between 1734 and 1740.1 He held the office of Alderman of London from 1739 to 1740.1

     Sir John Eyles, 2nd Bt. was born in 1683.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Eyles, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Ayley.1 He married Mary Haskins Stiles, daughter of Joseph Haskins Stiles and Sarah Eyles.1 He died on 1 March 1745.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chippenham between 1713 and 1727.1 He was director of the Bank of England between 1715 and 1717.1 He held the office of Alderman of London between 1716 and 1745.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Eyles [G.B.] on 24 May 1716. He was sub-governor of the South Sea Company between 1721 and 1733.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London from 1726 to 1727.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for London between 1727 and 1734.1
