     Sir Robert Drury was born on 30 January 1575.1 He was the son of Sir William Drury and Elizabeth Stafford.1 He married Anne Bacon, daughter of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts, on 30 January 1592.1 He died on 2 April 1615 at age 40.1
     He was appointed Knight in 1591.1 He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk in 1604.1 He was Gentleman of the Privy Chamber before 1605.1 He gained the rank of Captain between 1613 and 1615 in the Militia of Foot.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Eye in 1614.1
