     George Richmond was born on 28 March 1809 at Brompton, London, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Richmond and Ann Oram.1 He married Julia Tatham, daughter of Charles Heathcote Tatham and Harriet Williams, in January 1831 at Gretna Green, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.1 He died on 19 March 1896 at age 86 at London, England.1
     He was educated at Royal Academy of Art, London, England.1 He was a portrait painter.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)1
