     Rose Halle was the daughter of John Halle.1 She married Major Spencer Byng Astley, son of Sir Francis Dugdale Astley, 2nd Bt. and Emma Dorothea Lethbridge, in 1876.1 She died on 8 May 1919.1
     From 1876, her married name became Astley.1

     Spencer Beauchamp Astley was born on 21 October 1880.1 He was the son of Major Spencer Byng Astley and Rose Halle.1 He married Margaret Louisa Colquhoun, daughter of Lt.-Col. J. A. S. Colquhoun, on 15 May 1907.1 He died in December 1911 at age 31 at Uganda.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Reserve.1

Margaret Louisa Colquhoun1

     From 15 May 1907, her married name became Astley.1

     Major Aston Giffard Astley was born on 5 October 1887.1 He was the son of Major Spencer Byng Astley and Rose Halle.1 He died on 1 October 1916 at age 28, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Devon Regiment.1

     Margaret Violet Dorothea Astley was born on 3 March 1875.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Anthony Aylmer Astley and Sarah Amelia Lucy Lane.1 She married Thomas James Garniss, son of Thomas John Garniss, on 21 April 1897.1 She died on 30 April 1939 at age 64.1
     From 21 April 1897, her married name became Garniss.1
