     Brigadier Adam Brampton Douglas Gurdon was born in 1931.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Edward Temple Leigh Gurdon and Elizabeth Madeleine Wilson.1 He married Gillian Margaret Thomson, daughter of Charles N. Thomson, in 1958.1 He died on 22 May 2019.1
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the The Black Watch.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1
