     Philip Champion de Crespigny was born on 4 January 1850 at Saint-Malo, Bretagne, France.2 He was the son of Philip Robert Champion de Crespigny and Charlotte Frances Dana.1,2 He married Annie Frances Chauncy on 25 October 1877 at Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.2 He married Sophia Montgomery Grattan Beggs on 2 November 1891 at Holy Trinity Church, Balaclava, Victoria, Australia.2 He died on 11 March 1927 at age 77 at Brighton, Victoria, Australia.2
     He was general manger, Bank of Victoria in 1916.3 He was chairman of the Associated Banks of Victoria.3
