     Sir John Pease Fry, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 February 1864.¹ He was the son of Sir Theodore Fry, 1st Bt. and Sophia Pease.² He married Margaret Theodora Fox, daughter of Francis Edward Fox, on 4 June 1891.¹ He died on 25 January 1957 at age 92.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the North Riding, Yorkshire.¹ He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Fry, of Woodburn, Blackwell, co. Durham [U.K., 1894] on 5 September 1912.¹
