     He was appointed Knight Commander, Hanoverian Order (K.C.H.) He was appointed Knight, Order of the Tower and Sword of Portugal (K.T.S.) He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to King William IV. He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)
