     Vice-Admiral Hon. Arthur Brandreth Scott Dutton was born on 11 September 1876 at Simla, India.2 He was the son of Colonel Hon. Charles Dutton and May Arbuthnot Taylor.1 He married Doriel Hay, daughter of Sir John Adam Hay, 9th Bt. and Anne Salisbury Mary Meliora Milliken-Napier, on 12 February 1914.1 He died on 29 September 1932 at age 56.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1898 in the Royal Navy.2 He fought in the First World War.2 On 7 May 1920 he was granted the rank of a baron's younger son.3 He was Superintendant of Pembroke Dockyard between 1922 and 1924.3 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1926.2 He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to King George V in 1926.2 He was Commander of the Mediterranean Fleet Flotillas between 1928 and 1930.3 He retired from the military in 1931, with the rank of Vice-Admiral, late of the Royal Navy.1

     Sir Duncan Edwyn Hay, 10th Bt. was born on 25 September 1882.1 He was the son of Sir John Adam Hay, 9th Bt. and Anne Salisbury Mary Meliora Milliken-Napier.1 He married Lavinia Mary Houston, daughter of Wallace Charles Houston, on 12 December 1905.2 He died in 1965.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Hay, of Smithfield, co. Peebles [N.S., 1635] on 4 May 1895.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Peebles-shire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Peebles-shire.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1914 and 1915 in the Royal Navy.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Company of Archers.2
