     Brig.-Gen. Edward John Russell Peel was born on 31 August 1869.2 He was the son of Archibald Peel and Lady Georgiana Adelaide Russell.2 He married Mary Louise Drummond, daughter of Edgar Atheling Drummond and Hon. Louisa Theodosia Pennington, on 13 June 1901.1 He died on 20 March 1939 at age 69.2
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.2 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915 and bar (1918.)2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in the Royal Artillery.2

     Alfred Manners Drummond was born on 28 August 1829.1 He was the son of Andrew Robert Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Frederica Manners.1 He married Augusta Verschoyle, daughter of Robert Verschoyle, on 5 July 1878.1 He died on 11 May 1921 at age 91.1
     He fought in the Crimean War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.1 He was partner of Drummond's Bank.1

     Augusta Verschoyle was the daughter of Robert Verschoyle.1 She married Alfred Manners Drummond, son of Andrew Robert Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Frederica Manners, on 5 July 1878.1 She died on 28 April 1908, without issue.1
     From 5 July 1878, her married name became Drummond.1
