     Richard Lewis Hobart Gordon was born on 7 May 1815.1 He was the son of Alexander Gordon and Albinia Elizabeth Cumberland.2 He was baptised on 24 June 1815 at Maryculter, Kincardineshire, Scotland.1 He died in 1835, drowned in the wreck of H.M. Frigate Challenger, while trying to perform a service for his shipmates.2
     He gained the rank of Midshipman in the Royal Navy.2

     Colonel Bertie Edward Gordon was born on 17 December 1813 at Scotland.1 He was the son of Alexander Gordon and Albinia Elizabeth Cumberland.2 He was baptised on 25 December 1813 at Maryculter, Kincardineshire, Scotland.1 He married Katherine Alicia Hacket, daughter of Francis Benyon Hacket and Mary Horton.2 He died on 27 July 1870 at age 56 at Ellon Castle, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 91st Argyllshire Highlanders.2
