     Sir James Erskine of Alva, 2nd Bt. was born in May 1668 at Alva, Clackmannanshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Sir Charles Erskine of Alva, 1st Bt. and Christian Dundas.1 He died on 23 July 1693 at age 25 at Landen, Belgium, killed in action.3
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Erskine, of Alva [N.S., 1666] on 4 July 1690.3 He fought in the Battle of Landen on 23 July 1693.3

     Mary Erskine was baptised on 15 May 1666 at Alva, Clackmannanshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir Charles Erskine of Alva, 1st Bt. and Christian Dundas.1 She married Sir William Stirling of Ardoch, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Henry Stirling of Ardoch, 1st Bt. and Isabel Haldane, in 1685.1
     From 1685, her married name became Stirling.1

     Robert Erskine was born on 8 September 1677 at Alva, Clackmannanshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Sir Charles Erskine of Alva, 1st Bt. and Christian Dundas.1 He died on 30 November 1718 at age 41 at Olonets, Karelia, Russia.2
     He graduated from Utrecht University, Utrecht, The NetherlandsG, in 1700 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)3,2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in November 1703.2 He was physician to Tsar of Russia between 1706 and 1718.1

     James Graham, 2nd of Braco was baptised on 13 July 1686 at Dalkeith Church, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was the son of David Graham, 1st of Braco and Margaret Murray.1 He married Catherine Stirling, daughter of Sir William Stirling of Ardoch, 2nd Bt. and Mary Erskine, on 11 October 1713.1 He died in February 1736 at age 49.1

     He was given the name of Carl Friedrich Halle at birth.1 He was a pianist and conductor.1 He was founder of the Hallé Orchestra in 1858.1
