     Prince Emmanuel Galitzine was born on 15 May 1918 at Kislovodsk, Russia.1 He was the son of Prince Vladimir Emmanuelovich Galitzine and Ekaterina Gräfin von Carlow. He married Gwendoline Rhodes, daughter of Captain Stanley Rhodes, on 23 February 1943 at London, EnglandG. He died on 23 December 2002 at age 84.1
     He gained the title of Prince Emmanuel Galitzine. He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

     Her married name became Galitzine.
