     He was educated at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, England.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1,2 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, with the Royal Army Pay Corps.2 He lived at Fairfield House, Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England.2
