     John Tudor Gwynn was born on 13 November 1881.1 He was the son of Very Reverend John Gwynn and Lucy Josephine O'Brien.2 He married Joan Katharine Sedding, daughter of J. D. Sedding, in 1913.1 He died in 1956.1
     He was educated at St Columba's College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was with the Madras Presidency in 1905 at Madras, Tamil Nadu, India.1 He was Under-Secretary to the Government in 1911 at Madras, Tamil Nadu, India.1 He was a noted cricketer.1 He was Superintendent in 1913 at Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, India.1 He was Sub-Collector and Joint Magristrate in 1917 at Madras, Tamil Nadu, India.1 He was a publicity officer in 1919 at Madras.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1921.1 In 1921 he retired from the Indian Civil Service owing to deafness.1 He was the correspondent on Indian affairs for the Manchester Guardian.1 He was the correspondent on Irish affairs for the Manchester Guardian between 1923 and 1936.1 He accompanied the Simon Commission and reported on the All-Party Round Table Conference in 1928.1 He was Headmaster at Baymount Preparatory School, Dollymount, Clontarf, County Dublin, Ireland.1

     Joan Katharine Sedding was the daughter of J. D. Sedding.2 She married John Tudor Gwynn, son of Very Reverend John Gwynn and Lucy Josephine O'Brien, in 1913.1 She died in 1965.1
     From 1913, her married name became Gwynn.1

     Peter Lucius Gwynn was born in 1916.1 He is the son of John Tudor Gwynn and Joan Katharine Sedding.2 He married Patricia Rongarat Sator in 1959.1
     He was with the Madras Presidency in 1939.1 He continued to serve under the Government of India after independence.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1950 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Secretary to the Government between 1958 and 1962 at Andhra Pradesh, India.1 He was with the Board of Revenue between 1962 and 1967.1 In 1967 he returned to England.1 He was a Principal Treasurer.1

     Rose Gwynn was born in 1918.1 She is the daughter of John Tudor Gwynn and Joan Katharine Sedding.2 She married, firstly, Radford Pilkington-Jordan in 1939.1 She and Radford Pilkington-Jordan were divorced in 1954.1 She married, secondly, Francis Charles Heydon Peter Gayner, son of Dr. Francis Gayner, in 1973.1
