     Margaret Elizabeth Hamar was born in June 1754.1 She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Joseph Hamar.2 She married Reverend John Arden, son of Henry Arden and Alathea Cotton, on 15 May 1775 at Longcroft, Yoxford, Suffolk, England.1 She died on 5 July 1842 at age 88.1
     From 15 May 1775, her married name became Arden.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 61st Foot.2 He fought in the Napoleonic Wars.2
