     William Strang, 1st Baron Strang was born on 2 January 1893.1 He is the son of James Strang and Margaret Steven.1 He married Elsie Wynne Jones, daughter of Josiah Edward Jones, on 1 March 1920.1 He died on 27 May 1978 at age 85.1
