     Charlotte Jane Paterson was the daughter of Admiral unknown Paterson.2 She married Rear-Adm. Sir William Saltonstall Wiseman, 8th Bt., son of Captain Sir William Saltonstall Wiseman, 7th Bt. and Catherine Mackintosh, on 25 October 1838.1 She died on 23 May 1891.1
     From 25 October 1838, her married name became Wiseman.

     Sir William Wiseman, 9th Bt. was born on 23 August 1845.1 He was the son of Rear-Adm. Sir William Saltonstall Wiseman, 8th Bt. and Charlotte Jane Paterson.2 He married Sarah Elizabeth Langworthy, daughter of Lewis Langworthy, on 20 September 1878.1 He died on 11 January 1893 at age 47.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Wiseman, of Canfield Hall, Essex [E., 1628] on 1 April 1875.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     From 20 September 1878, her married name became Wiseman.

     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers and Machine Gun Corps.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1
