Archibald Malcolm Wallace was born on 23 October 1888.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hugh Robert Wallace of Busbie and Matilda Marion Christie Campbell.2 He married Frances Honore Clover, daughter of H. A. Clover, on 24 June 1931.1 He died on 5 July 1948 at age 59, without issue.1
He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 10th Battalion, Gordon Highlanders.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 9th Bengal Lancers (Hodson's Horse.)1
