     Ellen Yates was born on 22 March 1766. She was the daughter of William Yates.1 She was baptised on 2 April 1766.2 She married Sir Robert Peel, 1st Bt., son of Robert Peel and Elizabeth Haworth, on 8 July 1783.3 She died on 28 December 1803 at age 37.3
     From 8 July 1783, her married name became Peel.

     From 18 October 1805, her married name became Peel.

     Colonel Laurence George Frank Gordon was born on 21 May 1864.1 He was the son of Colonel George Grant Gordon and Constance Augusta Lennox Peel.1 He married, firstly, Florence Juliet Walters, daughter of C. A. Walters, on 1 October 1895.1 He married, secondly, Violet Murdoch, daughter of Charles Townsend Murdoch, on 6 January 1926.1 He died on 15 January 1943 at age 78.1
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He fought in the Boer War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Field Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1919.1

     Florence Juliet Walters was the daughter of C. A. Walters.1 She married, firstly, Alexander McHinch before 1895.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Laurence George Frank Gordon, son of Colonel George Grant Gordon and Constance Augusta Lennox Peel, on 1 October 1895.1 She died on 25 April 1924.1
     From before 1895, her married name became McHinch.1 Her married name became Gordon.
