     Sophia Mary Georgiana Tripp was the daughter of Reverend James Tripp.2 She married Reverend William Sinclair, son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Sinclair of Ulbster, 1st Bt. and Diana Macdonald, on 15 April 1846.1 She died on 22 July 1885.1
     From 15 April 1846, her married name became Sinclair.

     Venerable William Macdonald Sinclair was born on 3 June 1850.1 He was the son of Reverend William Sinclair and Sophia Mary Georgiana Tripp.2 He died on 4 December 1917 at age 67, unmarried.1
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He was Vicar between 1880 and 1889 at Stl.      He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Honorary Canon of Gloucester.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County London.1 He held the office of Archdeacon of Cirencester.1

     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Gloucestershire Regiment.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917 and bar (1918.)1 He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1919 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1920 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Vicar between 1931 and 1937 at Ashford, Kent, England.1 He was Canon Residentiary of Chester Cathedral between 1937 and 1944.1 He was Provost of Guildford Cathedral in 1944.1 He held the office of Honorary Canon of Canterbury Cathedral between 1952 and 1953.1
