     Sir Gilbert Samuel Inglefield was the son of Admiral Sir Frederick Samuel Inglefield.2 He married Laura Barbara Frances Thompson, daughter of Gilbert Thompson and Ethel Isabella Wyvill, on 20 December 1933.1 He died in 1991.1
     He was registered as a Associate, Royal institute of British Architects (A.R.I.B.A.)1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.)1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1967 and 1968.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.)1

     David Gilbert Charles Inglefield was born on 19 November 1934.1 He was the son of Sir Gilbert Samuel Inglefield and Laura Barbara Frances Thompson.2 He married Jean Mary Gomme-Duncan, daughter of Colonel Sir Alan Gomme-Duncan, in 1970.1 He died on 7 December 2014 at age 80.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1958 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 ) He lived in 2003 at The Old Rectory, Staunton-in-the Vale, Orston, Nottinghamshire, England.1
