     Henry Hanbury was born circa 1285.1 He was the son of Geoffrey de Hanbury.2
     He was ancestor of the senior line of Hanbury's, extinct in the 17th century.1 He was the first-known bearer of the Hanbury arms.1 In 1319 he was said to have rebelled against King Edward II.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Worcestershire in 1320.1
