     Captain Richard Taylor White was born on 29 January 1908.2 He is the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Archibald Woollaston White, 4th Bt. and Gladys Becher Love Pitman.2 He married Gabrielle Ursula Style, daughter of Robert Henry Style and Grace Winifred Bazley-White, on 2 September 1936.1 He died on 3 March 1995 at age 87.2
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1940 and two bars (1941.)2

     From 22 November 1898, her married name became Stratton. From 21 June 1910, her married name became Allen.1
