     Jonkheer George Clifford was born on 22 February 1769 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.1 He was the son of Gerard Clifford and Sara Maria van de Poll.1 He married Carolina Justina van Weede, daughter of Hendrik Maurits van Weede Heer van Lutteke Weede and Cornelia Straalman, on 1 June 1806 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.1 He died on 9 December 1847 at age 78 at The Hague, The Netherlands.1
     On 16 September 1815 he was elevated to the Dutch nobility and granted the hereditary prefix of Jonkheer.1
