     Sir James Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 3th Bt. was born on 6 August 1889.¹ He is the son of Sir James Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 1st Bt. and Marion Symington Young.² He married Jane Sim, daughter of James Morton Sim, on 30 March 1921.¹ He died on 4 June 1955 at age 65.¹
     He was educated at Kelvinside Academy, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, England.¹ He fought in the First World War.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps Motor Transport and Royal Garrison Artillery (TF.)¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Stewart, of Balgownie, co. Dunbarton [U.K., 1920] on 4 February 1934.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the County and City of Glasgow.)¹

     Malcolm Gilbert Watson Stewart was born on 5 June 1898.¹ He was the son of Sir James Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 1st Bt. and Marion Symington Young.² He married Evelyn Maud Stewart, daughter of John Allan Stewart, on 11 September 1923.¹ He died in 1971.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Flying Corps.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹
