     Sir Hugh Charlie Godfray Stewart, 6th Bt. was born on 13 April 1897.1 He was the son of Sir George Powell Stewart, 5th Bt. and Florence Maria Georgina Godfray.2 He married, firstly, Rosemary Elinor Dorothy Peacocke, daughter of George Peacocke, on 24 April 1929.1 He and Rosemary Elinor Dorothy Peacocke were divorced in 1942.1 He married, secondly, Diana Margaret Hibbert, daughter of James Edmund Hibbert, on 14 July 1948.1 He died on 31 July 1994 at age 97.1
     He was educated at Bradfield College, Reading, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Stewart, of Athenree, co. Tyrone [U.K., 1803] on 16 July 1945.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1955.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tyrone in 1971.1
