Sarah Middleton was the daughter of Captain Amos Parr Middleton.2 She married Venerable Andrew Nathaniel Wadham Spens of Craigsanquhar, son of Maj.-Gen. Andrew Spens and Diana Diggle, on 9 February 1871 at St. George's Cathedral, British Guiana.1,3 She died in 1874.1

Andrew William Spens was born on 8 June 1872.1 He was the son of Venerable Andrew Nathaniel Wadham Spens of Craigsanquhar and Sarah Middleton.2 He married Helen Holmes Bowman, daughter of Charles Andrews Bowman, on 19 June 1900.1 He died on 7 August 1917 at age 45, following war serv.1

Andrew Nathaniel Holmes Spens was born on 26 June 1913.1 He was the son of Andrew William Spens and Helen Holmes Bowman.2 He married Dorothy Day, daughter of William Frederick John Day, on 1 January 1941.1 He died on 28 November 1985 at age 72.1
