     Lt.-Col. John Whinfield Parrington was the son of M. W. Parrington.2 He married Constance Gertrude Marriott Smith, daughter of Colonel Walter William Marriott Smith and Alice Mary Ley, on 1 December 1921.1 He died on 10 June 1961.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Field Artillery.1

     Brigadier Geoffrey Cathcart Gowlland is the son of Richard Gowlland.2 He married Vera Rose Marriott Smith, daughter of Colonel Walter William Marriott Smith and Alice Mary Ley, on 20 November 1912.1
     He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Engineers.1
