     Sir Stuart Montagu Samuel, 1st and last Bt. was born on 24 October 1856.1 He was the son of Edwin Louis Samuel and Clara Yates.2 He married Ida Bessie Evaline Mayer, daughter of Alphonse Mayer, on 10 April 1893.1 He died on 13 May 1926 at age 69, when the btcy expired without male issue.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Whitechapel between 1900 and 1913.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County London.1 He was created 1st Baronet Samuel, of Chelwood Vetchery, Maresfield, co. Sussex [U.K.] on 8 July 1912.1 He was a partner of Samuel Montagu & Company, Bankers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Whitechapel between 1913 and 1916.1

     Ida Bessie Evaline Mayer was the daughter of Alphonse Mayer.2 She married Sir Stuart Montagu Samuel, 1st and last Bt., son of Edwin Louis Samuel and Clara Yates, on 10 April 1893.1 She died on 19 September 1941.1
     From 10 April 1893, her married name became Samuel.

     Vera Evelyn Samuel is the daughter of Sir Stuart Montagu Samuel, 1st and last Bt. and Ida Bessie Evaline Mayer.2 She married Major Sir Jack Benn Brunel Cohen, son of Louis S. Cohen, on 22 April 1914.1
     From 22 April 1914, her married name became Cohen.

     Major Sir Jack Benn Brunel Cohen was the son of Louis S. Cohen.2 He married Vera Evelyn Samuel, daughter of Sir Stuart Montagu Samuel, 1st and last Bt. and Ida Bessie Evaline Mayer, on 22 April 1914.1 He died on 11 May 1965.
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)1 Major Sir Jack Benn Brunel Cohen usually went by his middle name of Brunel.1

     George Stuart Brunel Brunel-Cohen was born on 18 November 1918.1 He was the son of Major Sir Jack Benn Brunel Cohen and Vera Evelyn Samuel.2 He married Shelagh Garry, daughter of Dr. Michael Garry, on 15 October 1948.1 He died in 1980.3
     He was given the name of George Stuart Brunel Cohen at birth.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 In 1948 his name was legally changed to George Stuart Brunel Brunel-Cohen by Deed Poll.1

     Shelagh Garry was the daughter of Dr. Michael Garry.1 She married, firstly, James Reid McCosh.1 She married, secondly, George Stuart Brunel Brunel-Cohen, son of Major Sir Jack Benn Brunel Cohen and Vera Evelyn Samuel, on 15 October 1948.1 She died on 16 April 2005.2
     Her married name became McCosh. From 15 October 1948, her married name became Brunel-Cohen.
