     Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Bedingfeld was born in September 1511.1 He was the son of Sir Edmund Bedingfeld and Grace Marney.1 He married Katherine Townshend, daughter of Sir Roger Townshend and Anne de Brewse.1 He died in 1583.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk in 1553.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1553.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk from 1553 to 1554.1 From May 1554 to June 1555 He was custodian of Princess Elizabeth.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1557.1 He was among the first to declare for Mary on the death of King Edward VI. For this he was allegedly granted a pension of 100 p.a. and some of the confiscated estates of the poet-rebel Sir Thomas Wyatt.1

     Margaret Scott is the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir John Scott.1 She married Sir Edmund Bedingfeld, son of Thomas Bedingfeld and Anne de Waldegrave.1
     Her married name became Bedingfeld.1

     Sir Edmund Bedingfeld was the son of Sir Edmund Bedingfeld and Margaret Scott.1 He married Grace Marney, daughter of Henry Marney, 1st Baron Marney and Elizabeth Wyfold.1 He died in 1553.1
     He was custodian of Catherine of Aragon after her divorce from King Henry VIII when rusticated to Kimbolton.1 He was appointed Knight in 1523.1
