     Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton was born on 3 November 1914.1 She was the daughter of Captain Herbert John Anthony Throckmorton and Ethel Mary Stapleton-Bretherton.1,2 She married Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Bt. and Agnes Nivison Sloane, on 14 October 1942.3 She died on 16 September 1982 at age 67.3
     Her married name became Cotts.

     Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. was born on 20 October 1903.2 He was the son of Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Bt. and Agnes Nivison Sloane.2 He married Barbara Mary Winifride Throckmorton, daughter of Captain Herbert John Anthony Throckmorton and Ethel Mary Stapleton-Bretherton, on 14 October 1942.2 He died on 17 January 1995 at age 91 at Stowmarket, Suffolk, EnglandG.2,3
     Major Sir Robert Chrichton Mitchell Cotts, 3rd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Crichton.2 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Irish Guards.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Cotts, of Coldharbour Wood, Reigate, Sussex [U.K., 1921] on 20 February 1964.2

     Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Bt. was born on 15 July 1871.1 He was the son of William Cotts and Sarah Muir.2 He married Agnes Nivison Sloane, daughter of Robert Sloane, on 18 March 1901.1 He died on 20 January 1932 at age 60.1
     He was a shipowner and colliery proprietor.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the Borough of Hampstead.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for London.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.1 A colonial merchant.1 He helped in recruiting in South Africa during the First World War.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 He was created 1st Baronet Cotts, of Coldharbour Wood, Reigate, Sussex [U.K.] on 15 June 1921.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (National Liberal) for the Western Isles between 1922 and 1923.1
