     Catherine Mackintosh was baptised on 13 February 1788 at Daviot, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of James Mackintosh of Farr and Catherine McGillivray.3,2 She married Hugh Rose, 20th of Kilravock, son of Hugh Rose of Brea and Broadley and Elizabeth Rose, 19th of Kilravock, on 22 April 1819.1 She died on 19 March 1867 at age 79.1
     From 22 April 1819, her married name became Rose.
