     unknown daughter Rose is the daughter of Alexander Rose, 5th of Insch and Anne Forbes.2 She married Reverend James Lorimer in 1687.1

     Reverend James Lorimer married unknown daughter Rose, daughter of Alexander Rose, 5th of Insch and Anne Forbes, in 1687.1
     He was Principal at St. Mary's College, St. Andrew's University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1

     Reverend Patrick Rose was the son of Reverend Alexander Rose, 3rd of Insch and Isobel Udny.2 He died circa 6 October 1679.1
     He graduated from King's College, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, in 1662 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Minister between 1668 and 1679 at Glass, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He had two daughters.1

     Most Rev. Alexander Rose was the son of Reverend Alexander Rose, 3rd of Insch and Isobel Udny.2 He married Euphame Thriepland, daughter of Sir Patrick Thriepland of Fingask, 1st Bt., on 27 April 1676.1 He died on 20 March 1720.1
     He graduated from King's College, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, in 1667 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Minister at Perth, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He was Principal in 1686 at St. Mary's College, St. Andrew's University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.1 He graduated from St. Andrew's University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland, in 1687 with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He held the office of Bishop of Moray between 1687 and 1720.1 He held the office of Bishop of Edinburgh between 1688 and 1720.1 He was administrator of the office of Primus of Scotland, Episcopal Church between 1704 and 1720.1

     Euphame Thriepland was the daughter of Sir Patrick Thriepland of Fingask, 1st Bt.2 She married Most Rev. Alexander Rose, son of Reverend Alexander Rose, 3rd of Insch and Isobel Udny, on 27 April 1676.1 She died on 18 April 1724.1
     From 27 April 1676, her married name became Rose.

     John Rose was born on 30 April 1687.1 He was the son of Most Rev. Alexander Rose and Euphame Thriepland.2 He died in 1730.1
     He was a Jacobite prisoner from 1715 to 1716 at Rose Castle, Carlisle, Cumberland, England.1

     Rt. Rev. James Rose was the son of Reverend Alexander Rose, 3rd of Insch and Isobel Udny.2 He married Ann Barclay.1 He married, firstly, Euphemia Carmichael, daughter of James Carmichael and Euphan Myrton, on 5 June 1688.1 He died in April 1733.1
     He was deprived as Jacobite.1 He was educated at St. Andrew's University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.1 He was Minister between 1686 and 1689 at Monimail, Fife, Scotland.1 He was Bishop Nonjuring of the Church of Edinburgh in 1726.1
