Colonel Ernest Henry Rivett-Carnac was born on 30 June 1857.1 He was the son of William John Rivett-Carnac and Mary Anstruther Wilkinson.2 He died on 4 September 1940 at age 83, unmarried.1
He fought in the Afghan War between 1879 and 1880.1 He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.1
