     Sir Geoffrey William Pennington-Ramsden, 7th Bt. was born on 28 August 1904.1 He was the son of Sir John Frescheville Ramsden, 6th Bt. and Joan Buxton.2 He married Veronica Prudence Betty Morley, daughter of Frederick William Morley, on 6 October 1927.1 He died on 13 January 1986 at age 81 at Brackley, Northamptonshire, England.1,3
     He was given the name of Geoffrey William Ramsden at birth.1 Sir Geoffrey William Pennington-Ramsden, 7th Bt. usually went by his middle name of William.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1925 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 In 1925 his name was legally changed to Geoffrey William Pennington by deed poll under the terms of will of his paternal grandfather's first cousin 5th and last Baron Muncaster.1 He was awarded the Silver Jubilee Medal in 1935.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Life Guards, 9th Armoured Division and 14th Army of Burma.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Ramsden, of Byram, co. York [E., 1689] on 6 October 1958. On 18 November 1958 his name was legally changed to Geoffrey William Pennington-Ramsden by deed poll.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cumberland in 1962.1

     Phyllida Rosemary Pennington was born on 11 February 1929.1 She was the daughter of Sir Geoffrey William Pennington-Ramsden, 7th Bt. and Veronica Prudence Betty Morley.2 She married Patrick Thomas Gordon-Duff-Pennington, son of G/Capt. George Edward Gordon-Duff and Rosemary Estelle Craven, on 21 June 1955.1 She died on 10 May 2011 at age 82.3
     From 21 June 1955, her married name became Gordon-Duff-Pennington.1
