     Mary Ames is the daughter of John S. Ames.1 She married Jeremy Leigh-Pemberton, son of Captain Robert Douglas Leigh-Pemberton and Helen Isabel Payne-Gallwey, on 30 May 1968.2 She and Jeremy Leigh-Pemberton were divorced in 1980.2
     From 30 May 1968, her married name became Leigh-Pemberton.2

Virginia Brand was born on 31 August 1918.1 She was the daughter of Robert Henry Brand, 1st and last Baron Brand and Phyllis Langhorne.1 She married, firstly, John Metcalfe Polk, son of Frank Polk, on 9 December 1939.1 She married, secondly, Brigadier Sir Edward William Spencer Ford, son of Very Rev. Lionel George Bridges Justice Ford and Mary Catherine Talbot, on 1 December 1949.1 She died in 1995.2
     From 9 December 1939, her married name became Polk. From 1 December 1949, her married name became Ford.

     Brigadier Sir Edward William Spencer Ford was born on 24 July 1910. He was the son of Very Rev. Lionel George Bridges Justice Ford and Mary Catherine Talbot.1 He married Hon. Virginia Brand, daughter of Robert Henry Brand, 1st and last Baron Brand and Phyllis Langhorne, on 1 December 1949.3 He died on 19 November 2006 at age 96.4
     He was awarded the Emergency Reserve Decoration (E.R.D.)5 He held the office of Assistant Private Secretary to King George VI between 1946 and 1952.6 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1949.7 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1952.7 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1957.7 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1967.6 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1998.6

     From 6 March 1943, her married name became Fox. From 21 September 1953, her married name became Bridge.
