     Sir Charles Pole, 1st Bt. was born on 14 January 1735.1 He was the son of Charles van Notten and Susanne Bosanquet.2 He married Millicent Pole, daughter of Charles Pole, on 9 September 1769.1 He died on 18 June 1813 at age 78.1
     He was given the name of Charles van Notten at birth.1 On 7 March 1787 his name was legally changed to Charles Pole by Sign Manual.1 He was created 1st Baronet Pole, of Wolverton, co. Hampshire [Great Britain] on 28 July 1791.1 He lived at Wolverton, Hampshire, England.1
