     Robert Thomas Gybbon-Monypenny was born on 9 March 1823.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Thomas Gybbon-Monypenny and Silvestra Rose Monypenny.2 He married, firstly, Janet Phillips Burney, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Burney and Janet Bannerman, on 2 June 1847.1 He married, secondly, Marian G. Tweedie, daughter of Michael Tweedie and Frances Forbes, on 1 June 1869 at St. Mary's Church, Rolvenden, Kent, England.3 He died on 27 September 1893 at age 70.1
     They also had other issue.1

     Lt.-Col. Henry Burney was born on 27 February 1792 at Calcutta, India.2 He was the son of Richard Thomas Burney and Jane Ross.2 He married Janet Bannerman on 30 June 1818 at Penang, Malaysia.2 He died on 4 March 1845 at age 53, at sea.3
     He was with the Honourable East India Company.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 20th Regiment, Bengal Native Infantry.2

Janet Phillips Burney1

     Janet Phillips Burney was born on 1 October 1820 at Pending, India.2 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Burney and Janet Bannerman.3,2 She was baptised on 28 February 1821 at Prince of Wales Island, Bengal, India.2 She married Robert Thomas Gybbon-Monypenny, son of Lt.-Col. Thomas Gybbon-Monypenny and Silvestra Rose Monypenny, on 2 June 1847.1 She died on 18 June 1863 at age 42.1
     From 2 June 1847, her married name became Gybbon-Monypenny.1 They also had other issue.1

     Henry Thomas Gybbon-Monypenny was born on 4 July 1850 at London, England.1,2 He was the son of Robert Thomas Gybbon-Monypenny and Janet Phillips Burney.3 He married Phoebe Master in 1895.1 He died after 1900.1
     He emigrated to New South Wales, Australia.1
